family and pizza
Welcoming my birth month, Daddy saw this ad in the news paper about a Shakey's promo and have been talking about it to Mommy days ago. And since it's my birthday month they are teasing me to treat them there. And I can't resist them..
Nothing much has happened but a lot of photos! Funny faces and candid pictures. It was a fun day even if I'm paying the meal it was worth all the fun we had together. =P

Maginhawa St.
I need to see Ms. Tech before she leaves for Seoul, hence, the date today. We are going to explore Maginhawa St. on a weekend... *thrilled*
First stop for lunch is at Friulli Trattoria for pasta and pizza. Don't expect something fancy of the place, it is small pizza place and is presenting a very casual dining experience. Great for comfy hanging out with friends for the afternoon I think. Somewhere you can eat good food without the hassle of the need to look very much presentable. I like that its ambiance is so comfortable that if I live nearby I feel like I can drop by any time of the day there even without taking a shower! lol We had an all meat pizza and a plate of pesto pasta. Awesome! Well done pizza and al dente pasta. It's affordable and worth every penny.
Full from lunch, we looked for a dessert place. Walking along the street almost all of the establishments were closed for the day. Then we spotted Sancho Churreria.
Truth is we came in to try the Frozen Brazo de Mercedes it was just unfortunate that the said cake ran out of stock. The staff said the owner only bake one whole cake for a day and that's it. So sad. We just tried their churros then some cold refreshments for them and coffee for me.
We stayed for a bit then walked again.. we spent the afternoon eating, walking, eating and now walking once again. We really don't know where to head next because it seem that most of the restaurants were closed on weekends. Really unlucky!
We're not ready to end the day yet then Tech and Mariel thought of Gayuma ni Maria.. and off we go!
This one really intrigued me. We came in and I did not expect the interiors to be so interesting.
It's really interesting how the place was put together. And really, not everything is in order which gives it a different appeal. It's like a restaurant and kinky shop all in one. Well, you'll only notice the kinky stuffs if you'll take a look at that specific corner. =P
We're not really here to eat, we're here to talk some more and laugh some more. But we needed to order something so we can stay. We don't want to be rude you know.
And I forgot to take a photo of Tuliro (nachos mixed with lettuce, fruits, meat and cheese) we had and was only able to take a snapshot at the Lumpiang Barako (dynamite in some other restaurant, if you're familiar).
We sat around, talk as much as we want, laugh at everything we can think of and more photos...
It was a nice day.. and I'll surely miss Ms. Tech badly. She'll be taking up her masters in Seoul and it'll take her two years at the least. Anyhow, at least we had this day. It was a fun one and something I'd love to do again once she's back.
Au revoir Labs! see you in Seoul as soon as I can fly there! xxoo

Breaking Dawn part II - date!
Last installment of our annual Twilight date!
We were not a fan, but much to our enjoyment, we do have fun making fun of the characters in the movie. The books were really nice but the execution in the movies were not so superb. But then again, I have to admit, this last one was good, not great but nonetheless good. n_n
For a change, we dated in Greenhills for the sake of our cravings of buffalo wings by Don Henrico's. Meeting at around lunch, yay! quite a lot of people! We met in a bookstore, then we met Ralei around. something's missing if no one of us got lost! lol. (one of us means Ralei or I)
We headed to the cinema right away and checked the schedules. We loved it there, with all the movie teasers before the movie itself! *we love trailers A LOT* It's like we watch movies to see the teasers and not just to watch the movie. The movie was nice, we kept on giggling to ourselves with our side comments but not until the scene when Carlisle was beheaded!! Ralei and I were like stunned and in shock! mouth in awe and eyes unbelieving! we looked at each other and expressed our revulsion on the scene! And exactly our thought at the moment "Carlisle??? bakit?? NOOOO!" We kept laughing until dinner about it!
Dinner at Don Henrico's was really nice. Satisfied our cravings a lot! we did movie and dine, our next stop is to shop a bit. Ate Heidz was looking for a nice blazer to pair with her dress in an upcoming event in her work. I have a quick eyes for shopping as I don't usually like pointless walking. We checked out a few stores with interesting pieces and lo and behold! We found the perfect one! Wrapped and paid, we walked around some more for a bit then decided to go home after a while. After I bought 2 strands of pearl necklace and Ralei had a ring and Ate Heidz with a ring too. Really! we are saving! I can't believe we're saving! and I can't believe after swearing no purchases today, we bought a few things ourselves! too much for self control. We enjoyed the mini shopping and the endless laugh and talks. I missed my girls all together that much! Our next date will be a year-ender!! can't wait! ♥

Chinoises?? Hello islands!
One of the hottest beach recognized by the world! And today I am to indulge once more in the very same beauty that every tourist had experienced.
After more or less 20 minutes suspended in the clouded skies, finally we were able to land. Landing in Caticlan airport, some things are meant to be unbelievably astonishing! How looks can be deceiving and once again how easily do I blend in! There's this registration area in the airport that enlists people who enters the land. And the clueless me, thinking about our transfer to the hotel and whom to look out for, didn't know that it was necessary to sign. The mid-aged lady across the counter among the other people with her, I think, were wondering why aren't we moving forward to them to sign. I caught her eyes once, and then there it goes.. Hearing her say "Ni hao!" in my direction obviously addressing the greetings to us three. Then saying to her colleagues that she thinks we don't understand and so she handed up a placard saying "Registration here" and again said "Ni hao". And I was like asking the same questions Ate is asking me, "What is it?" Then finally, Ate grew a bone to come forward the counter and ask!! That was when we learned we needed to sign on it for record sake I guess. Then off we go outside.
It was raining! So bad as we expected sunshine. The transfer from the airport to the hotel was not quite a journey compared that of from Kalibo airport, where it feels like forever. The Mister of the hotel who fetch and assisted us were nice and was also deceived speaking to us in English and asking if we are Chinese. Lol
We arrived in Microtel with the sun finally creeping out from the clouds! Yay! Can't wait to see the sun, the sea and the shore! Before peeking at the beach we settled the payable first.. we weren't able to avail my discount. Er... anyway, it's still worth the penny. Welcome drinks, welcome necklace and the cold towels to refresh! It is quite nice, really! I like how they accommodate their guests. ^_^ pretty awesome staffs too, they weren't anything but nice and polite.
We checked in at around 9am. The room was comfy and spacious enough. It is neat and kept prettily. The bed was soooo fluffy? Hahaha.. I like my bed a bit firm, but then their bed is comfy enough even if it's way too far from being firm! Quite a lot of spring underneath I guess. =D
Being tired from the flight and having no more than a blink of sleep, we agreed to eat lunch in the hotel's cafe and out for dinner later on.
Walking by the shore... I just love it for no reason. Definitely not a swimmer and not into any water sports at present (not that i don't intend to be involve into one, I am very much interested to learn some scuba diving! one added to my dream list). I just like the feel of the sands in between my toes, the smell of saltiness in the air, the sounds of the rolling waves, the breeze as it blows your face makes you think you can taste the tanginess of the sea.. puts me into zen. *except for the loud chattering around. Lol* there weren't a swarm of people around but it's just enough for me to say the beach is quite a busy place. We also passed by a beach wedding which is kinda cute. And then I thought, if I were to have a beach wedding I would've wanted something more private and intimate. Ohh... crazy thoughts!
Then finally after walking around, we headed to look for the infamous Calamansi muffins of Real Coffee. Hehe.. We ordered a bunch for Wednesday in time for our flight back to Manila. Then dinner! We agreed to have wine and pizza, and searched for Don Vito Ristorante.
We had calamares, pizza, pasta, sausages and wine! Just enough for a fine night. Chattering and camwhoring is what we did while waiting for the food to be served. Inside the restaurant, it was the same ambiance i like in every Italian restau i ran in. Cozy with warm lightings and somewhat romantic in a sense if you are on a romantic date. Lol. I like the feel of it with a touch of a little sophistication. Love the bottles of wine displayed for every eyes to see. The staff, although friendly and attentive, I think lacks knowledge on wines. We asked what they can suggest and it took some time and some asking someone else there. Food is delish as it should be! All in all it's reviews online really lived up to it. We had a happy tummy and buzzed brain cells at the end of our meal!
Before leaving we bought Aya a cake for her birthday. Few more hours left before her day begins!! And now back in the comforts of our room. ^_^

What can I say? Superb food. The quality equates with it's price. We shared a platter of bread with different spreads (forgot the name! sorry), fish and chips and pasta. All great!
After filling our tummies, we went straight up to our room to snatch some z's and to freshen up too. We opted to go out at around 5 pm to say, walk by the shore and check out some restaurants in between. Also, so that Ate and Aya can see the long shore of white sands and appreciate it's beauty. Oh well... as for Ate and Aya, prepping up takes quite more than a bit of time. *sigh* And then I felt the pressure of looking good too for the night just because they are busy beautifying themselves for dinner!

what's nice about yesterday...
So I spend last night's post ranting out my unpleasantries. And today, I just wanted to point out things to be grateful for...another new day, another gained year of wisdom.. another hopeful year to come by for me... family and friends no matter how awful some times might be.. and all the love, happiness, laughter, good and bad times, dreams, wishes, and everything..
I am a 'pretty damn lucky girl' as I always believe so. I may not have the perfect day on my birthday and not even half as great with the other days, but I always have an endless list of things to be grateful for. Just thankful with what life has come to offer each time.. ^_^ thank you!

starting a habit
Since we were left alone today, only Aira, Ate and I at home.. hmm.. I was bored.. hehe.. We planned to have a pizza tonight but things changed a bit. Since Ate have work today, we went out with her to Eastwood, and had dinner together before she went to work. It was quite difficult to choose where to eat, a lot of choices were just in front of us.We picked Trattoria Italia.. hmm.. we felt like having some wine over dinner.. ^_^
The place was nice, ambiance, hmm.. quite cozy.. looks a bit formal but feels less casual. The food was pleasant, not so delicious but enough to satisfy the curiosity of your taste buds over their menu. The waiters/waitresses were really kind! I think I can have my weekly dinner here with Aira and Ate. lol. but then, their wine selection were quite limited.. other than that it was a good food experience.. ^_^
