Hatch 22

Out of curiosity and because the menu list sounds awesome, we had dad's birthday dinner in Hatch 22 located in Rockwell Powerplant mall.

Chicken Quinoa salad

NYOB

Blueberry Ricotta waffles

Signature Burger
Steak Frites

Drunken pie

Although we waited a lot.. the food was great and was tastefully plated with no frills which is great cause you won't be guilty eating an art of plate. And really, their bread was awesome that mom bought some more to take home. I also love their coffee selections that I could probably stay in for the whole day feeling cozy while filling myself with it and good food. And although it is not that cheap, I believe it is not that expensive as well relative to the quality of the food you get.

Happy with full tummy,

a day short from Christmas

All the way from work, I met up with Aya with her friends to try out this all day breakfast place in Rockwell. But how unlucky it was! It is yet to open until 12 noon, I'm starved and tired and don't have that much energy to argue so we ended up walking yet another round for this another restaurant, only to find ourselves back from where we were. We did end up in TWG! =P

Oh well! TWG is a sure bet in my books. Food is great and I don't expect anything less with the service.

Eggs Benedict

Oven roasted chicken + Spinach pasta

Caribbean crepe

Bourbon island crepe
To sum it up, we had our lunch and we're back home at noon. And of course my pre-ordered White Christmas log cake for tonight! Can't wait to dig in! =)

 Happy Christmas ALL! ~ ♥A

TWG.. while waiting

I woke up feeling worn out from yesterday and it felt like I'm working on auto-mode - shower and then pack my things up. I need my dose of caffeine I guess. The girls and I didn't have time for breakfast since we needed to check out before noon and we already missed the breakfast buffet. We opted to fix ourselves then with all of us needing to be some place else this lunch. We separated our ways afterwards with the promise of another get together around December.

I headed off to Rockwell Powerplant mall as promised to Aya and thought I could wait for her until her shift ends. And I thought that would be easy, then realized, indeed it's just a thought! I arrived there at around noon and her shift ends at 6pm. Okay. I'll be idle for about more than I bargained for instead of sleeping in my bed cozy with my pillows. I did not thought of it, really, that I'll be waiting for hours with no company while my eyes are tired half shut and needing the effort to keeping it open.

Once I arrived there, Aya meant business and was assisting one of the customers in the retail area. I was greeted warmly by the other staff while Aya was assisting another. I was seated on one of the tables and everybody seemed pretty nice. All accommodating with their colleague's sister. That's really sweet of them!

I started checking out the menu again and the tea list. This time I am less overwhelmed and was able to read more in the tea selections than I had before in Greenbelt. I found it more comfortable here than the other branch, maybe because I knew what to expect this time than before plus Aya is just around the corner.

I started out with a pot of Tea Number 12, it is a black tea with coffee! I'm so happy when Aya mentioned this to me before and I knew I had to try it. Truly it has a taste of coffee in it. Now it is in my favorite lists. So I have my tea and a plate of scones with Red of Africa tea jelly and cream on the side. Sounds delicious and for real it really tastes good.

And after.... a long.... while......

C'mon.. I'm staking here for a few more hours.. I need sustenance! lol *justifying myself to eat more*

I like the stew and I think it's for sharing. Yeah, it's for sharing and I ate it solo.

Then finally...time to leave! ^_^

Aya and Me-time on the roll next before heading home.... and again.. another round of food, crepes and ice cream! How can I resist desserts? The sugar-toothed monster inside was nudged to wake!

hunger games ☺☺

another date with my Gals!

We've been talking about it for weeks now.. Ralei and I.. the book, Peeta Mellark, Katniss and the others.. I've read it decades agoooo.. waiting for the movie to come out.. finally! it's here!!!

I filed for a leave day before so I can sleep before we meet in Rockwell.. for a change, I with sleep dating with my girls! yay! I was really looking forward to it.. feels like yearssss ago since we last see each other. Ralei was doing her crash course in baking in Enderun.. *envy* I'd gladly join her if I can but at the moment, hmm.. with IELTS and all in line.. I can't afford anything that much at the moment.. Anyway, enough of me..We met Ralei in Market Market then off we go to Rockwell to eat lunch and do the movie! yay!!

ok.. lunch.. hmm.. Where to now?? It took as a bit of time to pick where to eat then finally saw this mexican restau around the corner named Achiote Taqueria.. The place was nice, not so fine dining type, which we like so we can get cozy and relax.. the staffs were really welcoming and nice.. ^_^ we like them! We ordered ourselves each burritos..and unexpectedly, it's quite a serving! We thought we should've just shared it together! Then we tried Ralei's baked good from her class, Hazelnut Dacquoise.. it's ♥! we shared it we the staffs there.. *glad to share* super proud of my girlfriend!! another step towards our dream business!

After lunch we head to the cinemas, just in time for the movie! The movie.. it did not disappoint me but still, it's different looking at it from the book.. Guess it's just the way it is.. I am no expert, but I can appreciate good movies. Hell yes! I enjoyed it with my girls and is really expectant on the coming sequel like all the other movies, we agreed to see it together again.. another date to save! But for now our next movie date will be The Avengers!
