losing Mama..

I hate that they cared less.. and I hate that I hate it this much that I myself tried to ignore the fact that I really care..

My heart breaks for Mama.. hope she's all better some place else..

not so great news

Days ago I received a text message from my beloved friend, Ate Heidi, that her father had passed away. It was really unfortunate and sad but at the same time I think it is for the better of everybody. At some point having lost my dearest Lolo (mom's father) and Lola (dad's mum) with years of fight over cancer, you learn how to accept and let go.

Her dad was comatose for more or less a month now and the doctors had laid out their options and the reality in front of them. Certainly I'm hoping with them that Tito will get better and be there longer still but part of me also prays and wish everything to be better if Tito had decided to let go. I tried to be supportive to Ate Heidz as much as I can and I wish she can feel it as well. Truly it was a sad news and I hope their family stays strong in the middle of all this. I know Ate Heidz know that we'll be here for her always and will be sticking out with her whenever she needs people to lean on. And right now that's all I can offer, a supporting hand if need be and someone to be around her for a comforting hug.

We were days late to visit her father's wake because of the weather but I'm glad to see Ate Heidz coping up. And I'm happy mommy and daddy went out of their way to join me there.

Be strong girlfriend! You can get through this... much love! xxoo

Maginhawa St.

I need to see Ms. Tech before she leaves for Seoul, hence, the date today. We are going to explore Maginhawa St. on a weekend... *thrilled*

First stop for lunch is at Friulli Trattoria for pasta and pizza. Don't expect something fancy of the place, it is small pizza place and is presenting a very casual dining experience. Great for comfy hanging out with friends for the afternoon I think. Somewhere you can eat good food without the hassle of the need to look very much presentable. I like that its ambiance is so comfortable that if I live nearby I feel like I can drop by any time of  the day there even without taking a shower! lol We had an all meat pizza and a plate of pesto pasta. Awesome! Well done pizza and al dente pasta. It's affordable and worth every penny.

Full from lunch, we looked for a dessert place. Walking along the street almost all of the establishments were closed for the day. Then we spotted Sancho Churreria.

Truth is we came in to try the Frozen Brazo de Mercedes it was just unfortunate that the said cake ran out of stock. The staff said the owner only bake one whole cake for a day and that's it. So sad. We just tried their churros then some cold refreshments for them and coffee for me.

We stayed for a bit then walked again.. we spent the afternoon eating, walking, eating and now walking once again. We really don't know where to head next because it seem that most of the restaurants were closed on weekends. Really unlucky!

We're not ready to end the day yet then Tech and Mariel thought of Gayuma ni Maria.. and off we go!

This one really intrigued me. We came in and I did not expect the interiors to be so interesting.

It's really interesting how the place was put together. And really, not everything is in order which gives it a different appeal. It's like a restaurant and kinky shop all in one. Well, you'll only notice the kinky stuffs if you'll take a look at that specific corner. =P

We're not really here to eat, we're here to talk some more and laugh some more. But we needed to order something so we can stay. We don't want to be rude you know.

And I forgot to take a photo of Tuliro (nachos mixed with lettuce, fruits, meat and cheese) we had and was only able to take a snapshot at the Lumpiang Barako (dynamite in some other restaurant, if you're familiar).

We sat around, talk as much as we want, laugh at everything we can think of and more photos...

It was a nice day.. and I'll surely miss Ms. Tech badly. She'll be taking up her masters in Seoul and it'll take her two years at the least. Anyhow, at least we had this day. It was a fun one and something I'd love to do again once she's back.

Engagement Activity

First non-work activity of the year and Ands last day with TR.

Citrix Addicts WON! 

There was a group presentations beforehand. Well, it became a bit out of hand, we can feel the oozing competition around! In our group, headed by JC, we did some powerpoint presentation and video. And this was the time I knew about Harlem Shake! I can't believe I did that!  It was embarrassing yet I have to admit, I had fun with them. n__n 

We shoot it days ago and it turned out not so bad after all. Then to spice up our presentation, we collected numbers of photos from the different sites with a tag "Citrix Addict". It was cute really! And they were nice enough to take those favored photos for our benefit. Thanks Steve, Ranie and Gavin!♥

Team Dinner

After the Deals event, we headed to the pantry for our Team Dinner, Birthday treat from Ida and sort of a farewell dinner for Ands. This is our last group picture with Ands. It is a happy and sad dinner, and we did take time having our dinner in the pantry. (Only one of the few times we, PEO's EST shift-people, use the pantry for meals. Lol)

I brought cake to share. We ate it together after all the pizzas and pasta from dinner. It was a really nice meal together. I'll miss Ands and her hyped energy around the office. She's our social butterfly and our ever bubbly office mate. I wish her lots of good luck! Bon voyage Ands! ♥♥

Old Love is still LOVE

I was sleeping the day off and just woke up when I saw Heidi-unni's messages and missed calls. Last minute notice on a night's date at Eastwood it is. Ate Ueno, a friend for years, was on her way back to Japan at least for a lengthy time. So it is only now that we have the chance to meet her before leaving off again. There was supposed to be a date last Thursday, but then I am caught up with work that I can't commit my time to meeting them. It was a second chance sprung to have the last minute date!

Er. only an hour left before the meeting time! I need to do fast shower! No indulging bath today. T.T Good thing I move fast, except for the time-slowing of warming my bath water. I grab anything I can wear. Dress, powder, heels is all I need and Voila! I'm ready to go! And most people of my acquaintance wouldn't even believe for a second that I can do that! (Is it that hard to believe I am not vain?? and Vanity is not my middle name? hahaha) Anyway, I took a cab to Eastwood. It's a weekend I thought so. And thought I'll be the latest one to arrive because of the non-cooperating traffic! Alas! I was the third one. I came to meet Heidi-unni and Stella sitting in the corner of Gaffitti having their way on a bucket of sorts of beers and bottled alcohol mixes. We started the night with ourselves and let the others know where to meet us including Ate Ueno. ^__^ and by the way, we thought it was an all girls night out we forgot she has a boyfriend always leashed by her side. (no offense to him but we three, Heidi-unni, Stella and I, thought at least a night with just the girls would be nice).

It was a fun night too. Non-stop reminiscing (though I don't know some of the names being mentioned since I had departed our common school when we were in sixth grade), Non-stop laughing and sharing. I was friends with them when we were in our elementary years in Stella Maris College. We were tight friends by then, drifted a bit after we parted in the sixth grade. It is when I transferred school, the graduating year it is. Quite a leap for me to suddenly adjust to a COED school. Anyway, we found our way back and get even closer in Highschool, with Ate Winkaye and Ate Ueno, through endless phone calls at day to the next day! Imagine us three not getting off the phone for hours and still we had something to talk about the next day! It was incredulous at it's best but it did happen. We drifted a bit when we went off to college yet we still find time to catch up or meet once in eons. Same goes until now.

On the other hand, I get to be closer with Ate Heidi when we found each other again back in College. It was really amazing seeing her in a distant that time, it was years ago since I last saw her then and I am not sure if she even remembers me. Remembering the first time I saw her again in line in UST while we wait for our turn in registration I don't know if I should say hello, yet I decided better not to. Months after it was a huge shock to see her on the first day of school in the same classroom as I was. We were block mates! Awesome fate! And when we first talked we then realized we did saw each other in that line and the truth is, we unknowingly both decided not to say hello fearing the small talks and awkward silence after the initial 'Hello'. and just like that we started anew. =D and until now we still have our time together, travel together and dreams.

It was a long history of friendship! And I am glad we still remember each other every now and then. And yes it is! OLD LOVE IS STILL LOVE!

 We ended the night after grabbing something warm at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Sobered, we left and end the night with more laughs and another memories to be kept together. Cheers! ♥

Ciao BF!

It was sad not being able to see her one last time before she left for Africa. But I firmly believe that our next meeting will not be that long! I miss you BF! I'm missing you! And I'll be missing missing you more!

super late and was really annoyed.. plus mom's irritating stance @ Abe's.. whatta great night! tsk!

I waited at Fully Booked for over two hours.. looked for Conti's and waited outside for more or less half an hour... Patience is a virtue, yeah right! it applies if it's reasonable to wait but if not???? well, it will get into you eventually and it hit me that night!

2011, June 3rd.. Kurt's scheduled flight to the US of A.

I know people come and go.. However, goodbyes are really sad, it leaves me speechless. er..
As we bid our farewells the last time in the airport, everybody knows everything won't be the same again. Some things were left undone, some things were left for new beginnings, and everything else were altered for what may have become. Even so, everybody is hopeful for the next time we'll see each other again!
