PES at 51

This year was different. Instead of attending it with Ayesa I was able to coax the girls to attend with me. It was every bit a thrill. And guess what? This year was prettily distracting I wasn't able to catch much on anything discussed since we can't help but talk. This year's was conducted in InterContinental Hotel. Nice! But I still like it better in BSP. I just don't know, maybe it had grown into me.

The plenary session was interesting though we weren't able to attend the whole thing with that overlapping time something like one started late and the other started on time and it was a mess coming from one session and jumping to another one in the next room being the latter was in the middle of the discussion while the former ended late. That sort of thing if you get what I mean.

And among the sea of strangers, academe, professionals, and government officials, we met some of our former professors. And I don't want to talk about it at all. *defensive*

It ended pretty much early with the cocktails being hold off for it's budget to be donated to the Yolanda victims. It's pretty nice a thought and would've loved to be able to help more myself given the chance. Well I tried but maybe not hard enough and I'm feeling guilty about it.

We checked in at Prince Plaza II Condotel this morning and we can't wait to spend more time with ourselves giggling and talking about the day's event. It is nearby the shopping center and pretty much accessible to all modes of transportation. We checked in before the conference and just returned afterwards. We had so much plan before like partying all night but it all burst into nothing when the day ended drained with the information overload we had and tired from endless walking. The room was compact. It's neat and not so spacious somewhat like a studio type where you can find everything in one place and there's not so many space to move from. Nonetheless, it is comfortable, clean and the interiors fills in pretty nicely.

Once settled in, as promised, I went on to Facetime Pagz to plan our Boracay trip next summer. Wiii! I can't wait and it's what? 5 more months of waiting!

why so serious Pagz when we're making faces back at ya! lol
It was a lengthy conversation and we're feeling comfortable with the bed while starving. Well, we gotta move it's not like the food and drinks will crawl over to us. So we said our goodbyes for now and promised to call back later once we've done some shopping. We went back to the mall to hunt for food and ended up buying Shakey's chicken and mojos set, then off to the grocery for snacks and beers. That's when my phone pinged that I received an email....And that! Pagz booked us the flight going home from Boracay at his expense! Yay! I can't believe he's spoiling us like that! LOL Thanks though. haha

Back at the hotel, we ate our supper, referring those chicken and mojos, then went straight to the roof deck to check out the pool and to have some drinks. And this nailed my obsession for roof decks, at least for the time being.

The pool closes at 11pm and ideally we can't stay up there after the pool closes for usage but luckily, thanks to Ate Heidi's charms, we were able to stay out for a longer while. We tried to call back Pagz up there but failed with bad reception in the area. Oh well, we'll talk soon and truth was, we're also chatting through facebook so what's the difference?
This is how life on a Friday night is supposed to be. Carefree, stress-relieving sesh with friends/family or whatever, a good company over drinks. It's a plus that we have privacy and a good spot to lounge.

We ended the night taking turns in the shower and as always calling over for some food delivery. And this never fails, hangover food in our books spelled "Yellow cab's chicken bbq pizza, chicken buffalo wings and pumpkin soup". It seemed weird that our supper only consisted of chicken and mojos while we cap our night with pizza, chicken and some soup. =D

All in all, it was a draining day with the seminar, exciting that we're on to the beach next summer, and amusing that we ended up skipping on the party scene tonight different from our initial plan.

Now, tomorrow is another day.. can't wait! xxoo

Annual meeting.. date with Ayesa for the nth time.

Hightlights of my day and personal thoughts:

Word of the day: Progeria

Philippines' current condition: Development Progeria - Raul Fabella

Lesson for today: The international currency is... TRUST - Jesus Estanislao

Discovery of the day: The current administration is too optimistic and idealistic. - just a personal note

Achievement of the day: We have been a bit more sociable today, next year will be more..

and last but not the least, FINALLY THEY GOT MY NAME RIGHT THIS TIME! lol.

What's really interesting was that the whole time we were in the convention we were thought to be one of the students attending! woah! From morning til the end of it we were seen as a student and not as a young professional. Good or bad?

What else to do when tired of the overwhelming information? or bored? or sleepy? *camwhore*

More coffee. unlimited coffee and tea..

The most awkward photo!

First time we saw the ends of it til the cocktails. Last year was unfortunate that we need to leave as early as we can but this time we see to it that we really see it through the end. Cocktails was fun. Wine and all. ^_^

Breaking Dawn part II - date!

Last installment of our annual Twilight date!

We were not a fan, but much to our enjoyment, we do have fun making fun of the characters in the movie. The books were really nice but the execution in the movies were not so superb. But then again, I have to admit, this last one was good, not great but nonetheless good. n_n

For a change, we dated in Greenhills for the sake of our cravings of buffalo wings by Don Henrico's. Meeting at around lunch, yay! quite a lot of people! We met in a bookstore, then we met Ralei around. something's missing if no one of us got lost! lol. (one of us means Ralei or I)

We headed to the cinema right away and checked the schedules. We loved it there, with all the movie teasers before the movie itself! *we love trailers A LOT* It's like we watch movies to see the teasers and not  just to watch the movie. The movie was nice, we kept on giggling to ourselves with our side comments but not until the scene when Carlisle was beheaded!! Ralei and I were like stunned and in shock! mouth in awe and eyes unbelieving! we looked at each other and expressed our revulsion on the scene! And exactly our thought at the moment "Carlisle??? bakit?? NOOOO!" We kept laughing until dinner about it!

Dinner at Don Henrico's was really nice. Satisfied our cravings a lot! we did movie and dine, our next stop is to shop a bit. Ate Heidz was looking for a nice blazer to pair with her dress in an upcoming event  in her work. I have a quick eyes for shopping as I don't usually like pointless walking. We checked out a few stores with interesting pieces and lo and behold! We found the perfect one! Wrapped and paid, we walked around some more for a bit then decided to go home after a while. After I bought 2 strands of pearl necklace and Ralei had a ring and Ate Heidz with a ring too. Really! we are saving! I can't believe we're saving! and I can't believe after swearing no purchases today, we  bought a few things ourselves! too much for self control. We enjoyed the mini shopping and the endless laugh and talks. I missed my girls all together that much! Our next date will be a year-ender!! can't wait! ♥

Moviedate: Breaking Dawn

yay! Finally!!! Moviedate with Ate Heidz and Ralei together.. I'm missing this sooooo much...?! Definitely, I can sacrifice sleep for this! hehe.. (ako nanaman ang haggard.. *bow*) From work, Ralei fetch me and we had breakfast together before going home to her rented space to catch some zzzzzz... We grab breakfast in North Park where my cravings for congee ended! really ended! I think it'll last for months before I look for another bnowl of congee! lol. We slept til mid-afternoon just in time when Ate Heidz arrived. ^_^ Off to Greenbelt we go only to see a full-packed mall because of Breaking Dawn's showing.. er.. I don't like crowds.. tsss.. and so we tried checking out the movie house in Glorietta mall. Define busy, after our date I need to be home as early as possible because of my cousin's birthday celebration. The available showing times were in conflict with my need-to-go-home-early situation but we manage to get some tickets. Bought some Gongcha tea, and then off we go.

After movie, we hunted for food.. lol. exaggerated! hahaha.. we searched for a good restaurant and ended up in The Spaghetti Factory for dinner.

Another nice day had passed.. ^_^

49th Annual meeting..(oh my haggard??)

Reminiscing.. and it is it! the annual meeting that makes me feel..... hmm.. feel like in my college days again.. (yay! I sound old! lol.) This year's topic I think is more interesting than last year's. And so I did attend it with Ayesa.. ^_^ Yes! with Ayesa for the second time. I was with her in it too last year. Last year was.. I don't want to remember! It was worst! coming from there going to work.. It was really bad. And since I am such a crybaby, last year's experience made me cry for real. So this year I made sure I am on leave on that day. But this year's case is hmm.. should I say, difficult but bearable. If last time I came straight to work from the seminar, this time I did the otherwise, I came straight from work to the seminar. Gosh! Feels awkward wanting a warm shower and not only fresh clothes. Plus, the unexpected happened! lol. Just guess what it is.. hahaha.. kyaaaaa?! ^_^

with Ayesa
Well, I think it went well. We arrived on time and had our table just for ourselves. I wonder why nobody took interest on sharing the table with us? Which I think is just weird cause we had a nice spot in the middle. Anyway, we met our old professors, by old I mean our former professors. hahaha! (quite misleading my statement is, is it not? lol.) It really feels nice to know that you were remembered somehow. And meeting them again proves that I left something to be remembered by them too. ^_^ awesome! (with kilig! toinks!) erase! erase! erase! hahahaha..

with Prof. Almario-Miguel and Ayesa

with Prof. Paguta and Ayesa

The first part of it went smoothly for us.. But after lunch in time for the plenary to start, guess what?! We sort of lost our way. hahaha.. ~not new to me~ so we ended up visiting the Money Museum.

Taking few shots...

just look at Curiosity!

together in BSP's Money Museum

I have my eyes on you!

I really want you dear necklace.. O.O

Ayesa. (pang-profile pic shot!) lol.

i didn't know this shot was taken!

Back to the seminar.. hihi.. we ended up walking under the hot sun in finding our way back. Eureka! but we're super late and super shy to interrupt whoever is amidst of their presentation. So we just waited for the next plenary to start. and while waiting, a mister mistaken us for students! whew! ~^-^~ who's flattered?? hahahaha... Anyway, back to the plenary.. hmm.. What can I say. It feels like I know nothing!!! omo! I still have a lot to learn! haha. I was impressed with how they know a lot of things and admire their passion for learning! really in awe! growing old to be like them wouldn't be so bad!!! I want a brainy companion! Where art thou? 왜 안 만나겠어요? 어디에서? =D

Back... We finished it but didn't attend the cocktail party afterwards cause it's a bit late and we had separate commitments after.

Last shot before we leave...

Ayesa, Prof. Cabauatan, Prof. Paguta

Next year.. If I am still here.. I'll make sure to take the daysss off and to attend the cocktail party.. ^_^
