the real fun starts now! finally!

I was welcomed with warm hugs from the girls, Ate Heidz and her relatives, her cousin Clea and Ate Cynthia, Clea's mom. It felt like three years ago were so long. It was when I first visit Ate Heidz's province with her almost the same time as now. It was an awesome short trip and fun too with all her relatives.

Anyway, we went home first for me to settle a bit and to eat some as well. Ate Cynthia cooked a lot and was really warm as always. After a bit of unpacking, I changed to some fresh clothes and really wished I can do some shower. Fail! So my eeeky list goes on, sleepless, smelly, and dirty? I've been wanting a shower since I rode that bus. Anyhow, we're heading to the beach now so who will care? Nobody would know but us. XD I packed my prized Absolut vodka bottle securely in my tote bag with some of my things and bags of chips for cover up then we picked up the pineapple juice in the jugs. We were all set so off we go to San Juan beach where Soul Surf event will be held at.

Thing is, we knew there will be a lot of crowd but we're complacent the nearby stores and restaurants will be willing to sell some ice but they don't with the swarming people around I knew it then. We tried to holed up with some nearby stores but none would even share a tube or so. While Ate Heidz is willing to walk until the next nearest store wasn't really that near anymore I did insist that the only chance we had was to check out the 7eleven I saw on our way which I sort of was insisting minutes ago. And there, the last two bags of ice. We get to buy one and almost missed it. Still lucky us! Now we can have our happy time.

We settled by the shore along with the other crowd and I did my fix of pineapple vodka. Pineapple vodka in paper cups by the shore, classic!

I hate to be the one urging the young ones to drink but really I didn't, we didn't. We just offered but we didn't force any. Plus I think they're of legal age to drink. It's their choice to get wasted cause I have a whole bottle waiting to be consumed tonight! XD *bad Ate* We did go that way for a couple of hours. Drinking, munching chips, talking and taking in the scene. Pretty much my kind of night, I believe. The music ain't that fun for a while so we drowned it with our laughs and endless conversation. We watched people and try to spot some one interesting. Well, I didn't catch any and Ate Heidz and the girls caught one but the group he's with left early. It's not as if we're going to do anything about it. hmm.. maybe if they really want to but not really.

I love laid back time by the beach. I don't know but there's something with the salty smell, the feel of the sand in my toes, and the sound of the clashing waves by the shore that makes me love it more.. that only this kind of place did to me. I love the starry sky that I don't get to see in the city and I love the refreshing breeze that struck my tangled hair seamlessly. It's reassuring for me in some way that life beyond my reality exists. I always find the beach as my perfect escape from my reality.

Late that night, the event was starting to close in and we're still in the hype of it. More blasting music and the thrill of getting soaked by the rising shore. Yes, we have to move further up for us to keep dry. It was fun like that! But some people, or let's say some guys, were so disgusting I don't want to think about it.

And this photo was taken by Clea! hah! We were caught of guard but it's fine by us. I'm still trying to remember which song was playing when this was taken. And since I was busy tapping on my mobile I think this was the time I was replying on Ralei at her comment. Gah! We missed her a million folds at this moment. And it was amusing to poke fun on her when tagging her with all our facebook updates and truly she hates me like that. XD

We stayed on until the crowd thinned and the music stopped playing. When it was just us and a couple of groups sticking by, Ate Heidz and I were on the deep end of our conversation. It was as planned, loosen up, relax, talk, drink and talk more. It's how we operate and we knew it even before we started. And just then we were interrupted by this guy which we weren't willing to entertain. And he just don't get it! So everything went down south and we started to play it cool until he get lost. And it was already at dawn when we're able to get rid of him. *sigh* at hours wasted with him. Oh well, the night was fun and now we have something to talk more about. hihi some stories to share with Ralei back in the city.

Morning light is sipping and this was the view we're left on. Not one a pretty sight and I found it interesting to catch this man sleeping. He might have been partying really hard last night! XP

I attempted to take a dip but was nearly washed out just by just standing near the water so forget about it. I'm not ready to face some action having consumed glasses of pineapple vodka, sleepless and smelly. Now this was our queue to go home.

sloshed and happy! xxoo ~♥A

at night...

and before going home from such a great meal at TWG, we sneaked up a bottle of wine.

Well, aside from drinking... I love the 'un-corking' part just because I'm good at it. I mean, it's one of the things I can really do myself without breaking anything. HA-HA

Now I'm ready for bed. Ciao!

Post EOQ.. splurging! ♥♥

Aya and I have been planning for this date weeks ago.

Since Ate is away and Mom and Dad is on a 5-day trip to Palawan (yes! I bought them a trip to Palawan and Aya signed up to share the accommodation and tours expenses but for now I'll have to pay for everything.), we decided to splurge a bit.

Aya loves food and she usually check out blogs and the likes when searching for restaurants. She heard about Lolo Dad's Café (Lolo Dad's facebook) somewhere that made her curious and being a tag-me-along sister she instantly told me about it. We then fantasized dining there and decided to fix our schedules which brought us now here. The restaurant is listed as one of the most romantic dating place here in Manila so we opted to dress for the occasion even if it's just the two of us. Aya and her make up is spectacular, as for me... well, I'm not much into dressing and make ups. =D I wear what I can wear and feel like wearing and try to get away with it the whole time. So far it hasn't failed me yet, heels and stilettos makes wonders and magic!♥

The disaster was we can't find the place.. And we rode with an annoying cab driver so instead of turning around and trying to locate it we got off the cab and tried to walk our way in heels. We did try you know. But after almost an hour of walking and still no success in finding it, we hailed for another cab. Adventure it was! This cab was certainly nice and kind. He didn't even ask for an additional fee on top of our taxi bill. He dropped us exactly in front of the café. Thank heavens for this kind mister.

Sweaty and haggard we came in the restaurant. We were greeted by the Maitre d' and asked if we had reservations. I didn't call?!!! *panic* I thought we're gonna be kicked out. lol (I'm exaggerating! XD) It didn't happen that way, instead he seated us near the bar. No, actually we lead him there and settled there.

Fresh rolls + herb butter
And because we were excited..really really excited about this. We already planned out what we'll be ordering. XD

For Starters...

Seared Duck Liver and Paté de Foie Gras Asian Pear Confit, Mesclun salad and Red Onion Marmalade
Soft Shell Crab Fritters on Gribiche Sauce with Dungeness Crab, Mango and Cucumber Salad
Gourmet Salad of Langoustine and Prawns Mushrooms, Feta Cheese, Kalamata Olives and Sundried Tomato Vinaigarette Tossed Salad Leaves

Double Espresso of Mushroom and Tomato Soup

I can't think of anything. Both of us think it's really great. We love the place, we love the food and we've only been starting! =D

And between the starters and main course they do serve Citrus Sherbet on the house to refresh you palate and prepare you for the next course! This must be love!

For the main course..

US Angus Beef Tenderloin, Eye of Rib eye and Corned Ox-Tongue
Soft Potatoes and Cepes Mushroom Sauce

Herb de Provençe Crusted Rack of Lamb Three Cheese Risotto (Roquefort, Gruyere and Parmesan)
Forty Melted Garlic and Tomato Confit
I'm so preoccupied with eyeing my food and excited to taste it I didn't care what the photos would look like. It looks crappy now, pardon me. Lol

and lastly for Desserts...

Dark Chocolate and Almond layered cake Vanilla and Almond Ice Cream
Mango terrine with Declension of Mascarpone cheese Parmesan Ice cream
"Sampler of Chocolates" : White chocolate brûlée, Dark chocolate terrine,
Chocolate mousseline and Chocolate Praline Ice cream
Espresso shots
The dining experience was superb. Appetizers were nicely put together. I'm not really a fan of salads and certainly not of vegetables but I was able to eat some of it. The meat were neatly cooked and lovely! And the desserts were heavenly I must say. I love it and I really fell for this restaurant. My sweet tooth urged for more and is swooning and moaning to the moon and back. My favorite was the Dark Chocolate and Almond Layered cake, a must try!

It was really a wonderful treat for the palate. Everything is tasty yet not too overpowering and it's a plus that they serve generously! The staffs were really really nice and they do try to explain everything you don't understand. Impressive that the one who wait our table knew the menu so well. oh! I'm singing praises~ and I don't mind spending with this quality of food and service.

Will certainly come back and now I'm done of dreaming of how wonderful this place would be. Expectations were exceeded. We need to head home fast because Ate is coming home today and Mom and Dad is still away and not due back until Monday. By the way, Happy birthday Daddy!  xxoo

Ciao!! happy tummy and happy heart...

Island hopping - Coron

Early to rise for a day of island hopping today.. not yet ready for some action we spent a few minutes gawking at the view.

The sun was already up when we decided to prep for today's dealings. hah! sounds like serious business eh?

It took us a while waiting for the other people who'll be joining the tour... The first stop was at CYC island and since we've been spending the whole afternoon there yesterday we were done taking pictures in it instead we just dipped on the waters and tried to enjoy it. Well, merely enjoyed it. My sunburns hurt really bad it bordered between annoyingly prickly with the clothes on and salt water. tsktsk I learned my lesson now, take it easy on the first day. =(

But still mooooore sun! We can't resist it. toink!

Lunch was pretty nice. ^_^ but I don't really eat seaweeds.

Kayangan Lake was the highlight I guess, and I think Ralei will agree on this with me. Such a memorable slip I mean sightings. peace! =D

with infamous "photo background".

We met lovely people from the tour. Our group was a lively one though we are a bit out of place since we are out of their age range. And even some thought, once again, we were minors on a trip on our own. I can still remember one asking me how old am I and how did my parents allowed me to go on a trip with friends unsupervised. *okay flattering* They were a fun bunch and sweet people. Over lunch they took care of us, offering more servings and all. We were also with two English girls and one American, I get to talk to one of them on a lengthy conversation after lunch while resting a bit. It was awesome. I didn't know I can socialize and keep the conversation flowing. It was fun then.

truly?! =)

Tell me how can anybody not love Palawan? Good people, good food and awesome spots. I just love this place and will keep coming back! One more day in paradise, can't wait to lounge and laze again by the shore tomorrow just how I like to roll out. *chillin'*

Ciao~ with lalalalaloooove! ♥A
