happy birthday to one of my favorite person in the world!

I'm not really showy and all. And I hate dramas but since I want to give you dear sister a heartfelt greetings.. here goes nothing...

To my soulmate, my coffeemate, my twin-sister (DAW?!), my personal chef, my bestfriend, and to the EPITOME OF ROYAL MOODINESS! Happy happy birthday! We've been together for as long as you live and it was worth all the while. I wish you more love and happiness...and all the best of everything for you. May you find your true passion and real love. Do remember that I cherish our coffee together and dates and I'll always look forward to it. We may have countless disagreements and arguments but know that I'll always care. Cheers for more! I hate that they cared less.. and I hate that I hate it this much that I myself tried to ignore the fact that I really care..

break from reality

Today we went out with the mission of finding Alanah a good pair of shoes and white dress for Mama's funeral tomorrow. And since we spot some sale going on we might as well check it out! ugh! It's so tough to resist when you spot a shoe to love. Bianca and I? same thoughts! Good thing it's discounted!

After almost an hour, we're finally done with the purchases and went in for a quick dinner. We did intend to do it quick. We really tried you know but failed miserably. Dinner came to an end and we headed still for some dessert. Who said quick dinner? HAHAHA

We had salad, ribs and three cheese pizza and the one with all meat in it at Uncle Cheffy's in Eastwood. yes! comfort food!

And since we have my old baby with us.... mind you she looks older but she's only 13years old! We then decided to grab some ice cream at Swensen's.

See? Alanah's almost as tall as us four adults but she's only a teeny and so far from legal! And while we walked around there was this event going on for kids. Since it looked like she want to check it out, we go ahead and urged her to go in as well. Shy and all, I stepped in with her by the entrance while the guy on registration said "Ma'm it's only for kids" and the mother hen in me was aghast and I went wide-eye saying "What? but she's only 13...!??"
HAH! C'mon man! What do you take us for? That was really funny! We entered the maze and was laughing the whole time until were done with it.

This sums up our day.. and we know it'll be a long night til Mama's service tomorrow morning...

Tita Julie in town

Tita Julie is back for short vacation and we're out to play again! ^_^

We went to check out BGC with her. Started with coffee and cakes and pasta at Sophie's Mom (one of my favorite place because they have one of the best red velvet cupcakes I had!) Then we walked around for some photos with Tita Julie and some food again??? They ate some shabu-shabu in this place. Gosh! I forgot the name. My bad! Well, it didn't really leave a lasting impression on me. So why try to remember it? It's quite expensive and I don't really think it's worth your money. Anyhow, I liked the restaurant's Katsudon and not really the shabu-shabu in their name. XP

Game 2

I was dragged by my girlfriends to watch the UAAP men's basketball finals game2 (UST vs La Salle). In truth, I am not really as involved as they are with sports, neither am I a fan nor a sporty gal but certainly I can appreciate a game given that I know the rules of the sport.

The last time I watched a game was 6 or so years ago? Quite a long time indeed and back then I do watch it for the plus points it entails for my PE subjects! haha Yes, I did struggle with my PE units back then. I did try though you know. Fitness and folk dance on my freshman year, handball and basketball on my sophomore year. Fitness and folk dance I can survive certainly while handball didn't came handy what's with my professor pushing me to throw in the ball and failing to do so! Lol And basketball, that one I enjoyed most! I had a nice professor and a practice partner, Ate Heidz.

Anyway, moving on from my reminiscing... aside from the game itself, we were expecting something more to come out of this outing. The subtle invitation my friend laid with this certain guy is hanging on us. He neither confirm anything and we are hoping something positive for her. And we were not disappointed indeed! He came and this made my friend happy which made my other girlfriend and I happy as well.

The game was exciting and I love the adrenaline rush! Yes, I may not be a fan but certainly I can be into the game in no time. Weird eh? The play didn't turn out well for UST, nonetheless, it didn't matter much that day.

Ate Heidz was happy and Ralei and I were happy for her too. Not yet ready to go home, we decided to extend the day and have supper together. We then head to Bellini's for good food!

  
Truly, I love Bellini's and their food and the place itself! It was pact with people! Lucky enough, we were able to squeezed into one of their corner tables. The place was so busy the same as the other restaurants around the coliseum. We talked over the day's happenings and more girl talks!

At the end of this day, I had a scratchy throat from cheering and endless screaming, worn out and sleepless but definitely happy! I'm glad I was dragged out by the girls and had all the fun with them. Now time for some rest and sleep.

mornings with coffee

Caught up with work and a handful of stress I need my friends! So I holler an S-O-S to Ate Heidz and fortunately she's available for breakfast. And since we've been planning to try Caffé Bene's branch beside my office, we met there for coffee and a lengthy conversation. Her kilig moments and my stressful time at work. And instead of dwelling on my stress, I went ahead and tried helping her with a bit of scheming. Lol It was a fun time indeed! Planning for her next move and trying to figure out this guy. XD Typical females doing some girl talks over coffee. Awesomely fun and stress relieving!

I love the quote painted on the café's wall and I definitely agree with it! Going home giddy for my friend.. Ciao!

Shabu-shabu with Aya

We sort of missing out on each other's stresses. And we had a pact to date every after end of quarter so here we are, meeting after Aya's working hours and before I report to work. More or less 2 hours to catch up!

While checking out the restaurants around the mall, Aya took notice of this shabu-shabu place named Ganso-Shabuway Japanese Style Hot Pot and had the urge to try it out. Menu looked pretty good and the place is yet to be filled at the time. 

 We ordered the Meyer Natural Angus set served with white rice and vegetables. I opted for the seaweed broth while Aya went for the spicy miso broth. Er.. I don't really eat seaweeds and I didn't know why I chose it in the first place.

We talked a lot while waiting for the food to be served. The plate of vegetables and pot of broth were easily served yet we had to wait for the plate of beef. Anyhow, we started cooking with just the broth, vegetables and tofu. The broth, the seaweed broth was bland and needs to be seasoned for better taste while the spicy miso broth which surprisingly, I prefer more, were good enough for my buds without adding any more seasonings. We both agreed on this one and mixed both broth instead. =P Both broth were refillable as much as you like with no extra charge, which is awesome!

Food wise, it's good but nothing special. On service, well... we felt like they don't really want to refill our broth! That says a lot with their service doesn't it given that there were only us and another table occupied? lol The place were clean and feels cozy and great for quiet conversation or maybe it's just because it's only us at the moment. =D All in all, we enjoyed the food and our time together but not really the service they catered.

For dessert, we dropped by TWG for some slice of happiness. I picked Singapore Surprise, sort of like a custard cake infused with vanilla bourbon tea with lots of berries. Well, it's nice but it's not my favorite. Still, I like TWG! ♥

finally the sun rose

Indeed I love the sky.. gray, cloudy, clear, or whatever it looks like I'm forever compelled to look up and notice the sky. Nice weather or not it's still amusing how each day is different to the eye than the one past it. And I'm talking in circles not even sure if I make sense. I just love it that is all.
